BUCK’S COUNTY PLAYHOUSE & PEDDER’S VILLAGE – Lahaska, PA
Two days including entertainment, spectacular Christmas lights, shopping and a bit of history await you on this two-day special. The tour includes overnight lodging as well as breakfast and two dinners. We will depart Manassas at 6:15 a.m. and Woodbridge at 7:00 a.m. Return time is approximately 9:30 p.m.
The Itinerary
Day One: and We will proceed to New Hope, Pennsylvania to iconic Peddler’s Village where lodging awaits at the beautiful Golden Plough Inn. Located in this storybook village you will find charming colonial-style buildings, award-winning gardens, and distinctive shopping. Stroll an enchanted Village with over a million lights as you can visit 65 specialty shops and boutiques.
Day Two enjoy breakfast in the Inn before we board our bus to proceed to another near-by attraction – the Pearl Buck Home. Each year, during the Annual Festival of Trees, the rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s iconic stone farmhouse come alive with the glow of holiday decorations. The event showcases beautiful trees and vignettes designed by Bucks County’s best artists, decorators, and local community groups to convey the spirit of Pearl S. Buck’s legacy as an author, humanitarian, and activist. From there we continue to Elkton, MD for an evening dinner stop at the Cracker Barrel ($20 gift card) for the dinner of your choice.
