We all remember September 11, 2001, and
how all US planes were ordered grounded
immediately. 38 planes were diverted to
Canada, Gander International Airport, which
doubled the population of the town. In the
meantime, the townspeople had to scramble
to make preparations to care for the 7000
stranded passengers. Quite the story of how
the passengers were welcomed and housed.
Before the performance, you will enjoy a
fantastic family-style luncheon at Hickory
Bridge Farm (fried chicken, ham, and crab
imperial). We will depart from Manassas at
8:45 AM and from Woodbridge at 9:30 AM.
