“New Year’s Eve On The Lake” – CALLAWAY GARDENS – Pine Mountain, Georgia

The tour includes 3 breakfast and 4 dinners.  We will depart Manassas at 6:15 a.m. and Woodbridge at 7:00 a.m.  Return time is approximately 8:30 p.m.

The Itinerary

Day 1:  We will make a combination rest stop and quick breakfast-on-the-go rest and later in the day a more leisurely lunch stop at the discretion of the escort and driver.  In the late afternoon and we should arrive at our destination, the HamptonInn Bermuda Run in Advance, NC.  NOTE:  We will not unload the baggage beneath coach tonight.  Pack a carry one bag with your overnight necessities.  This evening we will enjoy dinner at the 2520 Tavern followed by theChristmas Festivities at Tanglewood Festival of Lights. Tanglewood Park’s rolling countryside is transformed into a winter wonderland of giant, twinkling snowflakes and whimsical scenes! Entering their 32nd season, Tanglewood’s Festival of Lights continues to be one of the largest and most spectacular light shows in the entire Southeast.  This will be a driving tour. 

Day 2 – Enjoy Breakfast in the motel dining area beginning at 6:00 a.m.  We will then depart at 8;00 a.m. for WARM SPRINGS, GA to visit the Roosevelt Little Whitehouse.  After our tour of the home and time in the Gift Shop, we will continue to Callaway Gardensfor a guided tour and overnight at the Callaway Lodge & Spa(706) 489-3300.  After checking in our rooms, time to relax and enjoy a fantastic dinner from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  For the remainder of the evening,we have a private Trolley tour of the breathtaking beauty of the Fantasy in Lights Christmas display with 8 million lights and 15 dazzling scenes. Fantasy In Lights is not only the South’s most spectacular holiday light and sound show, it is one of the world’s top ten places to see holiday lights.  you might want to relax on your balcony and enjoy the fireworks display at midnight or go down to the pavilion by the lakeside to enjoy the New Year festivities

Day 3 begins with a fantastic buffet breakfast followed by a visit to the Day Butterfly Center that is one of North America’s largest conservatories – and one of the Gardens’ most popular attraction. We will then continue to Asheville, NC and overnight lodging at the

Brookstone Lodge. Tonight we will enjoy a New Yearbuffet dinner at the Deerpark Restaurant followed by the candlelight tour of the Biltmore Estate dressed in its Christmas finery. 

Day 4begins with breakfast in the lodge dining area beginning at 6:30 a.m.  This morning we have a unique experience for you.  We are traveling to the top of Grandfather Mountain and an opportunity to take a walk on the Swinging Bridge.  On our journey home we will stop for our final dinner together at the Chester, VA Cracker Barrel ($20 gift card).
