CHRISTMAS IN CAPE MAY – Cape May, NJ

The tour includes two dinners, breakfast, and two lunches.  We will depart Manassas at 6:15 a.m. and Woodbridge at 7:00 a.m.  Return time is approximately 7:00 p.m. 

The Itinerary

Day 1:  A brief rest stop will be made by the driver enroute for coffee and bathroom.  On arrival in Cape May, we will proceed directly to the Lobster House Restaurant for lunch [With reservations advise choice of clam chowder or House Salad and choice of Lobster Salad Sandwich, crab cake sandwich or Charbroiled chicken sandwich], all served with fries and cole slaw.  While enjoying our lunch we will be treated to a Christmas Traditions presentation.  Next is our All That Glitters Trolley tour.  Then, Step back in time to a Victorian Holiday at the Physick Estate, where you can learn how Victorian residents celebrated Christmas long ago. This living history tour features docents dressed in 1890 costumes and explains the differences between Christmas then and now. We will also visit the Carroll Gallery Exhibit.  We will then check into the lovely Congress Hall Hotel honored as one of America’s 10 Best Holiday Hotels as it announces its twelfth annual Winter Wonderland—the beloved holiday spectacular that celebrates this special time of year in Cape May. 

Day 2 – Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will take a tour with a guide of the area around Cape May and its history.   With Christmas just around the corner, you need time to shop and that has been built in as you visit the shops in Washington Street Mall.  As a special treat, we are returning to Lewes. DL aboard the Cape May Ferry.  On arrival, we will continue to Stevensville, MD for dinner at the Cracker Barrel ($20 gift card).  Following dinner, we continue toward home filled with all the joyful and beautiful sites of Christmas in Cape May.
