Terms & Conditions for Our One-Day and Overnight Bluebird Senior Travel Tours

We require payment for trips within two weeks of making your reservation. DCTrails accepts cash, credit cards, money orders, or checks. Those that fail to make their payment within the designated time period may lose their reservation without notice. DCTrails can mail receipts for the payment we receive, as well as provide yours via email.

When canceling your reservation, you’ll need to contact Quality Tour Transportation and speak with the agent handling your Bluebird Tour program. Please note that all cancellations are subject to a $5 fee for day trips and a $10 fee for overnight excursions. Additionally, a refund will only be provided if there is someone on the standby list available to take your space.

For those interested in printing out a detailed schedule of their upcoming Bluebird Senior Travel Tour, schedules can be found here. You can also email dcreek@dctrails.com or call (703) 792-7433 (RIDE) to determine if there have been any schedule changes to your upcoming trip.

For sightseeing guides, the cost of gratuity is included in the tour price. Meals are also included in the tour costs with the exception of alcoholic beverages. However, it’s important to note that you’re expected to tip the driver a suggested tip of $2-$3 per day. Tour escorts do not expect tips but appreciate them.

Trip insurance for cancellations is only offered on our overnight Bluebird Senior Travel Tours and is not included in the overall price. It is a separate insurance you need to request via our Travel Guard Chartism and is available for everyone. The rates will vary depending on the cost of the tour you’ve reserved and your age. This insurance coverage includes trip cancellation coverage, trip interruption coverage, baggage up to $500, emergency accident/sickness medical expenses up to $2,500, and emergency evacuation repatriation of remains up to $25,000.

No consumption of alcohol is permitted on the bus.

When paying by check for your Bluebird Senior Travel Tour, please indicate the date of the tour you’re paying for on your check. Those paying cash will need to pay the exact amount. We also take all of today’s major credit cards. Payment can be made as soon as your reservation has been confirmed.

One-Day and Overnight Trip Details

Seating Policy for One Day Trips

In our one-day bus trips for seniors, passengers boarding in Manassas sit on the driver’s side of the bus and passengers boarding in Woodbridge sit on the door side of the bus.

Departure Points

For all Bluebird Senior Travel Tours, plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before trip departure time.

One-Day Bus Tours
  • Manassas at Wal-Mart, located at 9401 Liberia Avenue.
  • We load in the parking lot on your right close to Wawa.
  • Woodbridge at Featherstone Shopping Center, located at 14527 Jefferson Davis Highway.
  • We load in the rear of McDonald’s.
  • No parking overnight.
Overnight Bus Tours
  • Manassas at the public parking lot next door to the Manassas Sr. Center located at 9320 Mosby Street, Manassas, VA 20110.
  • Woodbridge at the A. J. Ferlazzo Building located at 15941 Donald Curtis Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22191 (for this pickup point you will receive a parking permit in with your baggage tags and itinerary).
Senior Bus Trip Return Times

It is at the bus driver and/or escort’s discretion as to which location will be dropped off first, based on the factors of driving, and time and scheduling constraints. Please note that all specific return times are approximations and may be adjusted.
