RAYSTOWN LAKE & HORSESHOE CURVE
Spend an exciting day in an area of Pennsylvania that
has not been on the tour agenda for years. We will first
check into the Horseshoe Gift Shop. We will be
directed to the steps leading up to the viewing point to
see the Horseshoe Curve. The steps are low and the
railing is present. From this elevation you will also have
fantastic views of the mountains. Horseshoe Curve is
a living symbol of American Ingenuity. Skeptics said it
could not be done, but with picks and shovels they
were able to complete what is considered an
engineering marvel. Keep a watch on your time as we
must be on the bus ready to depart at 12:15 p.m. From
here it is an hour to Entriken, PA where the Proud
Mary Showboat is waiting for us to depart on a relaxing
cruise on Lake Raystown to enjoy the beautiful scenery
and our buffet lunch. On the way home a brief fast-
food rest stop will be made.
We will depart Manassas at 6:15 a.m. and Woodbridge at 7:00 a.m. Return time is
approximately 7:30 p.m.
