DISCOVER THE LOST COLOLY Manteo on Roanoke Island

Day 1, Tuesday
Summer is beginning fast drawing to an end. Join on
for an opportunity to spend time enjoying relaxing on
the beach during your down-time and at the same time
spend an entire evening enjoying one of the greatest
off outdoor drama’s and immersing yourself in one of
the early settlements of our nation that totally
disappeared without one survivor to be found. It will be a night you will long remember. On arrival, we will
proceed to Bo Jangles to enjoy pickup and our box
dinner consisting of 2 pieces fried chicken (breast and
wing), macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, biscuit and
sweet potato pie along with choice of coffee, tea or
soda. Our lodging for the night is on the ocean at the
Holiday Inn Oceanfront. Following lunch, we will
proceed to the North Carolina Aquarium for an
interesting afternoon viewing the aquatic life up close
and real. We will then proceed to the Holiday Inn
Oceanfront for overnight lodging and the freedom to
walk on the beach or relax at the pool the next
morning. We are not thru yet. We have a fantastic
seafood buffet in store for you at Jimmie’s featuring
crab legs and 70 other items. There is something for
everyone, even if you don’t like seafood. After dinner
we are off to Roanoke Island to take the tour and see
the Native American exhibition prior to the main
drama of the Lost Colony. I know that bed is going to
welcome you tonight!
Day 2, Wednesday
Next morning go down for breakfast at your leisure. Use
the morning to enjoy the beach and the pool. We plan
on departing at 11:00 AM and proceed to Roanoke
Island Maritime Museum or The Wright brothers
Memorial. We will locate a stop for lunch and a rest stop
en route home. We should arrive back at approximately
7:00 p.m.
